Visual Concepts rolled out update 1.014 for NBA 2K24 today, specifically for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of the game. An update was also released for older consoles.
The only information regarding the update from 2K via their Discord about this patch is:

Today’s NBA 2K24 patch update for PS5 & Xbox Series X|S addresses an issue that prevented some NBA games from beginning or completing successfully.
Season 7 information is being dropped tomorrow. We'll be sure to provide any updates as soon as we can.
