Minion Masters 2.29 Patch Notes (1st June 2026)
Fireball gets a damage bump, Cowardly Imps get reworked, and Bulwark takes a hit. Here's what changed in Minion Masters 2.29.
Minion Masters 2.29 is live today, and it's a fairly wide-ranging balance pass touching over a dozen cards. Nothing here screams meta-defining overhaul, but there's enough movement to shift how a few popular decks play out.
The most meaningful rework is Cowardly Imps. Previously, any nearby friendly minion dying would trigger Fear stacks, which made them synergise with almost anything. Now Fear only procs when another Cowardly Imp dies, so you actually have to build around them. That's a real design tightening, not just a number tweak. Bulwark also takes a notable hit, dropping from 33% to 25% damage reduction, which will hurt anyone leaning on it as a defensive crutch. On the other side, Fireball and Dragon Ball both climb from 200 to 220 damage, and Battle Shi-Hou's attack range jumps from 0.4 to 2.0, which is a massive leap for a card that previously had to be almost on top of its target.
Skeleton Crew drops from summoning 3 to 2 units but now grants 2 Accursed Ascension progress on play, which is a clear push toward a specific archetype rather than general use. I like that direction. Here's everything that changed.
