Mecha BREAK Update NOTICE Patch Notes (22nd June 2026)
Endless Mode arrives in Spectral Nexus, weapon protection goes live, and a massive chip rebalance reshapes every loadout.

Mecha BREAK's June 23 maintenance brings the feature players have been asking for: Endless Mode in Spectral Nexus. After clearing Level 40, you can now push into infinite waves with leaderboard rankings based on your final level and clear time. The Upgrade Shop timer extends to 10 minutes, giving you breathing room to plan your next chip setup without rushing.
The bigger shift is the Modular Weapon Protection system. Enhanced weapons no longer vanish when you die, they drop one upgrade level instead, keeping their identity intact. Die multiple times in a single match and the downgrades stack, but you're never losing a +5 weapon permanently to a bad spawn. Weapons in your Secure Cargo Bay are completely protected. It's a system that actually respects the grind.
Chip balance is sweeping. Beam cannons hit harder, autocannons and gatlings gain piercing and defense-shred variants, melee weapons get speed and durability recovery options, and support chips like Splitter and Emitter are reworked. The meta's shifting, check what's changed for your main loadout.

Modular Weapon Protection & Return
To improve the Modular Weapon experience, the Mashmak Modular Weapon Protection & Return system goes live after this update. Here's how it works:
Protection Trigger Conditions
- Any enhanced Modular Weapon (+1 or higher) will trigger Protection when your Striker is neutralized. Instead of being destroyed or dropped as loot, the weapon loses 1 Upgrade Level, and its current Upgrade XP is wiped — but you keep the weapon.
- Weapons stored in Secure Cargo Bay are completely unaffected — no downgrade, no XP loss.
How It Works in Different Scenarios
- Recalled by a teammate: The downgraded weapon returns to the holder's Cargo Space. You can keep using it when you rejoin the fight.
- Unable to be recalled/eliminated: The downgraded weapon is returned to its original owner.
- Weapon picked up by a teammate: The same rules apply to whoever's holding it. If the weapon isn't destroyed, it gets mailed back to the original owner after the teammate's match ends.
- Weapon Airdrop destroyed with no one looting it: Any weapons inside at +1 or above are returned via mail after the match, with the standard downgrade applied.
- Manually dropped: Returned to the original owner at match settlement with the downgrade applied. When a +1 weapon drops to +0, it retains 1 point of Upgrade XP.
Additional Rules
- Multiple deaths in a single match stack the downgrade — each qualifying death knocks the weapon down another level until it hits +0 and gets destroyed.
- Weapons at +0 or unenhanced follow the old rules: equipped weapons vanish on death, Cargo Space weapons drop as lootable salvage.
- Modular Weapon Airdrop can now only be picked up by you and your squadmates. Enemies can no longer loot your airdrop.
