Path to Doomsday arrives with a significant platform caveat: it's unavailable on PS4. PlayStation players will have access to the cosmetic bundles and Spider-Man Day event, but will be locked out of the core gameplay experience. Spider-Man Day runs from 31 July through 13 August and functions as a limited-time cosmetic showcase. The event resurrects the Peter Parker: The Photographer bundle alongside new skins for Spider-Man, Hulk, Scarlet Witch, and Winter Soldier tied to Age of Ultron. The Times Square area gets interactive photo ops and a two-minute film screening that grants an exclusive spray, turning the social hub into a tie-in event space. For players who missed earlier Spider-Man cosmetics, this window is a rare second chance; the photographer bundle specifically is flagged as returning for a limited period only.
The fixes address a cluster of team-up ability bugs that affected matchmaking integrity. Thor's Ragnarok Rebirth could trigger unexpected healing interactions during his Ultimate, Peni Parker's Rocket Network caused Rocket's revive tracking to malfunction, and Cloak & Dagger's Oblivion Shroud produced incorrect assist data. These are not balance changes but data-tracking problems that likely skewed statistics and potentially affected competitive fairness. A separate fix restores Hela's ability to use emotes and emojis after casting abilities, a quality-of-life correction rather than a mechanical shift.
The esports angle deserves attention: Marvel Rivals IGNITE's Mid-Season Finals are currently underway in Los Angeles, with the first global champion set to be crowned during this patch cycle. In-game viewers can earn drops by watching matches, and the studio is pushing the esports page integration hard. - Thor's Thunderous Tangle: Fixed a bug where if Thor triggered the Ragnarok Rebirth team-up revival effect while casting his Ultimate, he could be unexpectedly healed by teammates, and caused abnormal defeat judgments. The Odinson's fate is now properly sealed or saved!
- Peni Parker's Network Nuisance: Addressed an issue where, when Peni Parker utilized the Rocket Network team-up, it could cause her teammate Rocket Raccoon's B.R.B. revive data to track incorrectly. SP//dr's tech is now fully synchronized with the Guardian's!
- Cloak & Dagger's Darkforce Discrepancy: Resolved a hiccup where Cloak & Dagger selecting the Oblivion Shroud team-up could result in incorrect assist data tracking. The duo's light and shadows are perfectly balanced again!
- Jubilee's Firework Fizzle: Fixed an issue where, at certain specific angles, Jubilee was unable to use Dazzling Detonation to detonate her energy orbs. Jubilee's spark is fully restored!
Other
- Fixed a glitch in matches where Hela's emojis and emotes could become unusable after she used her abilities. The Goddess of Death will not be silenced!
