inZOI PSA: Update is Wednesday, ! Patch Notes (24th April 2026)
inZOI's April 29th update is built around an Unreal Engine 5.6 migration, and you'll need to reset your graphics settings once it lands.

Wednesday, April 29th is when inZOI's next update drops, and developer kjun posted a heads-up on Friday outlining what to expect.: this one is bigger under the hood than it might look.
Most of the work this month has gone into migrating to Unreal Engine 5.6, with the official patch notes confirming a heavy focus on stability and optimization across hardware tiers. High-end machines should see smoother performance; lower-end systems are being tuned to hold visual quality without tanking framerates. One thing every player needs to know: the update will conflict with existing graphics settings, so you'll have to reset your options once after installing. Not a dealbreaker, but worth knowing before you boot up and wonder why everything looks off.
Kjun also mentioned a feature in the works that would let players save and share graphics configurations, though it may not make this update's cutoff. Stability is the stated priority through August, and I think that's the right call for a game still finding its footing in Early Access. Full patch notes below.
Full Patch Notes
Hello everyone, happy Friday.
We’ve had a very busy week preparing the build for next week’s update.
This month in particular, we’ve been focusing development around the Unreal Engine 5.6 update that many of you helped test, with a strong emphasis on overall stability and optimization.
We’re improving the system so that settings can be better tailored to different hardware environments. On high-end systems, the goal is to provide smoother performance, while on lower-end systems, we’re working to maintain visual quality while ensuring stable gameplay.
However, as this update includes new features, there may be conflicts with existing settings. Because of this, you will need to reset your graphics options once after the update. We appreciate your understanding.
We are also working on a feature that allows graphics settings to be saved and shared. However, we cannot yet confirm whether this will be completed within the current schedule. Our top priority through August will remain stability improvements.
We take seriously the areas where we have not been able to improve enough so far. For us as developers, a game is not just a finished product, but something we are continuously responsible for.
We hope you have a wonderful weekend. Thank you.
