Hytale Pre-Release Patch Notes (Update 6) (28th May 2026)
Hytale's sixth pre-release update lands with a new Block Palette Preset system, a wave of audio additions, and some quietly important server-side security fixes.
Block Palette Presets are in Pre-Release Update 6, posted by the Hytale Team on May 28. Builders can now save and reload palettes through a new side tab in the Quick Settings menu, complete with a color picker and block eyedropper. If you spend any real time in Hytale's creative tools, this is going to save you a lot of repetitive setup.
On the security side, two fixes stand out. Projectile spawn positions are now validated server-side rather than trusting the client, and NPC and mount interactions now check the player's actual distance to the target, blocking modified clients from interacting across arbitrary ranges. These are the sorts of fixes that don't make flashy patch notes but matter a lot for server integrity.
Audio gets a solid pass too, with new break and walk sounds added for Leaves, Brambles, Cloth blocks, Trash Piles, and the Brazier, which now has distinct soundsets per material type. Modders should note the network protocol has bumped from hytale/2 to hytale/3, so clients and servers on the old version won't connect. Everything in the update is listed below.
