Nexon just posted a detailed breakdown of what's been broken with Ines's Dark Current skill since patch 1.3.28, and it's messier than a simple bug. The studio identified calculation formula issues that weren't fully explained in previous notices, then discovered even more missing components during an internal review. Basically, the skill's damage multiplier basis kept changing without proper communication, and several calculation elements, like Enemy DEF and Arche Type, were either partially applied or skipped entirely across updates.

The upcoming 1.3.32 patch is meant to finish the job. Nexon will swap the damage multiplier basis from MP to Skill Power, finally apply the Arche Type calculation, and update the tooltip so you can actually see what's happening in-game. Nexon acknowledges this wasn't a single error but a verification and communication failure that created a gap between what the skill actually did and what players were told it did. They're committing to stronger advance verification and clearer patch notes going forward. Check the full notice for the complete damage formula breakdown across all three patches.

# PDT 2026.06.24(Wed) 03:00 – Added the damage calculation formula details to the table in the main text.

Greetings, Descendants.

We would like to share further information on Ines’s ‘Dark Current’ skill.

Following the 1.3.31 patch, a change in the performance of Ines’s Dark Current was identified,

and we previously informed you of the calculation formula issue through our previous notice regarding this issue.

Afterward, during a detailed internal review of the overall calculation structure,

we identified additional components that had not been sufficiently explained in our initial notice.

We deeply apologize for the confusion this has caused,

and we would like to explain the background of the changes in detail, in chronological order.

CategoryDetails
1.3.28 UpdateApplied changes

- Damage Multiplier basis: changed from ‘Skill Critical Hit Rate’ to ‘MP’

(Added) Damage Calculation Formula: Max MP x Damage Multiplier (MP-based) x Min Damage Rate ~ Max Damage Rate (MP-based)

Changes not applied

- Enemy DEF calculation

- Arche Type calculation

Situation at the time

The update was carried out while some calculation elements were not reflected as intended,

and the applied state was not sufficiently verified or communicated.

In addition, some changes were not clearly reflected in the patch notes and tooltips,

resulting in a discrepancy between the actual behavior and the information provided.

1.3.31 PatchApplied changes

- Damage Multiplier basis: ‘MP’ maintained

- Enemy DEF calculation applied

(Added) Damage Calculation Formula: Max MP x Damage Multiplier (MP-based) x Min Damage Rate ~ Max Damage Rate (MP-based)

Changes not applied

- Arche Type calculation

Some of the previously omitted calculation elements were applied,

but during the review we did not clearly recognize this as an independent change, so no advance notice was provided.

Subsequently, while conducting additional reviews, we found that the Arche Type calculation was still not being reflected.

1.3.32 Patch (Scheduled)Scheduled changes

Arche Type calculation will be applied

Enemy DEF calculation will be maintained

Damage Multiplier basis: will change from ‘MP’ to ‘Skill Power’

Attribute Power calculation will be added

(Added) Damage Calculation Formula: Max MP x Damage Multiplier (Skill Power-based) x Min Damage Rate ~ Max Damage Rate (MP-based)

Through this maintenance, overall adjustments have been made so that the Dark Current calculation formula operates correctly in line with the intended structure.

In addition, the changed basis will also be reflected in the skill tooltip so that you can check it more clearly in-game.

This issue was not simply a single error,

but a problem that arose because the verification and communication of implemented changes were insufficient.

As a result, a discrepancy occurred between the actual in-game behavior and the information provided,

and we take seriously the impact this confusion has had on your gameplay experience.

Through this case,

we have once again recognized the importance of verifying the applied state of changes more clearly

and of accurately communicating the results.

Going forward, we will strengthen the following improvements:

- Strengthening advance verification of calculation formulas and application structures

- Improving the accuracy of patch note and tooltip information

- Minimizing discrepancies between the actual applied state and the information provided

We will do our best to provide more reliable updates.

Thank you.
