Dune: Awakening Public Test Client: Patch 1.3.20.0 (14th April 2026)
The Public Test Client gets PvE and PvP Deep Desert instances, fairer Testing Station loot, and a Recycle function added to the Base Reconstruction Tool.
in Patch 1.3.20.0 for Dune: Awakening's Public Test Client is something players have been asking for: dedicated PvE and PvP instances of the Deep Desert. Every official World will now have at least one of each, which means you can finally choose whether you want to deal with other players while grinding out there or not. For a game where the Deep Desert is central to progression, splitting those populations is a bigger quality-of-life shift than it might sound on paper.
Testing Station loot also gets a proper look. The drop rate on specific weapons like "The Ancient Way" and "Pyrockets" has been pulled back so the table feels less rigged toward particular items, boss HP in group encounters has been reduced, and Stillsuit pieces drop less frequently to make room for more combat-relevant gear. I've lost count of how many Stillsuit pieces I've pulled from runs that should have rewarded something useful, so this is overdue.
Rounding things out, the update brings streaming distance improvements for better performance and memory usage, plus a Recycle function added to the Base Reconstruction Tool. Remember, this is a Work in Progress build, so expect placeholder text and assets while the PTC period runs. Here's everything that changed.
Full Patch Notes
Hey there Sleepers,
This update comes with an exciting introduction that you may have seen in our latest developer blog: PvE and PvP Deep Desert instances! We also have changes to Testing Station bosses and loot, performance improvements, various fixes, and more. Take a look, try it out, and let us know what you think!
To assist you with testing, don’t forget to take advantage of the Progression Unlock Panel (only available in the PTC) where aside from getting resources and gear, XP and unlocking Journey chapters, you can unlock faction ranks and crafting materials.
Please note this is still a Work in Progress build and as a result you may found placeholder text and assets in it. This will be polished during the PTC period.
