Dune: Awakening - 1.4.0.2 Hotfix Patch Notes (26th May 2026)

Dune: Awakening's latest hotfix tackles character transfer errors, two client crashes, and a combat bug where stacked attractor fields stopped dealing damage.

Character transfers have been causing headaches for Dune: Awakening players, and today's 1.4.0.2 hotfix addresses several issues that were causing those transfers to fail outright. The warning text has also been clarified to cover both vehicle backup and vehicle disassembly, which should stop players from losing progress they didn't know was at risk.

On the combat side, there's a fix that actually changes how fights play out: characters caught in two or more attractor fields were simply not taking damage. If you've been running overlapping attractor setups and wondering why enemies seemed suspiciously tanky, that's your answer. Two client crashes have also been squashed, one tied to building piece placement and another triggered by controller users hitting UI dropdowns.

Smaller but still welcome: the Water Shippers Arch building piece now snaps correctly with other pieces, and Deep Desert sandstorms no longer show up yellow on the map. This is a client-side download, so restart Steam if it doesn't appear automatically. The complete notes are below.
