Dune: Awakening - 1.4.0.1 Hotfix Patch Notes (21st May 2026)
A small but focused hotfix for Dune: Awakening, addressing server stability, a batch of broken craftable items, and some annoying combat bugs.
Two days after 1.4 dropped, Funcom has pushed 1.4.0.1 to address some of the rougher edges from launch. It requires a client-side download, so restart Steam if it doesn't appear automatically.
The most player-facing fixes here are the crafting ones. Several items, including the Combat Exoskeleton Chestpiece, the Phantom Whisper set, and four grade-five uniques, were completely uncraftable after 1.4 shipped. Getting gear locked behind a bug that shipped at launch is frustrating, and I'm glad this got patched quickly rather than sitting on a known issues list for a week. The Lasgun Concentrator augment was also applying its Rate of Fire penalty twice, which would have quietly tanked your DPS without any obvious explanation. That's the kind of bug that makes players question their own builds before they figure out it's a game problem.
On the server side, a crash fix and added stability measures for servers handling post-migration player influxes should help with the population growing pains that followed 1.4's self-hosting feature. Character transfers also got a behaviour change: copying to self-hosted servers is no longer possible, with characters now moved and deleted from the origin server instead.
Everything in the update is listed below.

User Interface:
- Added a new confirmation pop-up message that appears when players attempt to transfer their characters from one world to another, but they still have vehicles or bases left in the world.
- The Custom tab on the Server Browser window was renamed to Private.
FIXES
Technical and stability:
- Fixed a server crash that should result in improved server stability.
- We’ve put in some measures to increase stability for servers that are seeing a new influx of players after Server Migrations.
Resources, Building, and Crafting:

- Fixed an issue where NPCs used Suspensor Grenades in Testing Station 195.
User Interface:
- Fixed an issue with a placeholder icon of the Mantle of the Hidden Hand variant.
- Removed several item categories from the Exchange menu that belonged to future content.
- Fixed an issue with the missing Tray A Deez Salute (a.k.a. Awoo) emote for players who participated in the beta testing.
- Fixed an issue where the tech menu showed six grades for Salusan Vengeance instead of five.
