Don't Starve Together Hotfix 727204 Patch Notes (7th May 2026)

Hotfix 727204 is a small but focused patch for Don't Starve Together, cleaning up several Wonkey-related bugs and giving WX-78 players a quality-of-life improvement in the Sanctum.

WX-78 mains have been waiting on this one. Hotfix 727204 is live for Don't Starve Together, and its headline change lets WX-78 Transfer Consciousness in and out of the Sanctum and Sanctum Lobby, something that was previously blocked and made the mechanic awkward to use in that area.

The rest of the patch is squarely aimed at Wonkey bugs, and there were a few worth fixing. The Backup Chassis was losing ownership when WX-78 got cursed into Wonkey, Powder Monkeys weren't disengaging properly during the Wonkey transition, and Implanted items weren't dropping on transformation. Mimicked items also had a revert bug when dropped in containers. None of these are game-breaking, but they're the kind of rough edges that pile up and make a character feel unpolished, so I'm glad Klei caught them.

There's also a crash fix for burning Evergreens being destroyed after going off-screen, which is a niche but annoying one if you've hit it mid-run. Small patch overall, but clean. Everything in the update is listed below.
