Diablo 4 Diablo IV Developer Update - Lord of Notes (21st April 2026)
Blizzard has dropped a full developer update for the Lord of Hatred expansion, covering everything from new Class Skill Trees to the returning Horadric Cube.
Blizzard went deep on the Lord of Hatred expansion today, publishing a developer update that covers the final details ahead of launch. If you've been following the drip-feed of reveals, this is where it all comes together.
The official update walks through the new Class Skill Trees, which look to reshape how each class plays at a fundamental level rather than just bolting new numbers onto existing builds. The Talisman system and the Horadric Cube are both detailed here too. The Cube especially has a lot of history behind it, and I'm curious whether Blizzard has managed to recapture what made it satisfying in Diablo 2 or whether it ends up as a stripped-down nod to nostalgia. New endgame systems also get coverage, which matters a lot for anyone who's already burned through the current seasonal content and is waiting for a reason to stay.
This is a substantial content drop on paper. The complete notes are below.
