Dead by Daylight A Match Details Sneak Peek Ahead (27th April 2026)
Dead by Daylight's next update tweaks Match Details so Survivors learn the Killer's identity at a more natural point in the match, not before anything has even happened.

Tomorrow's Dead by Daylight update is bringing a small but meaningful change to Match Details, and it's one that came directly from PTB feedback. According to the official announcement, Survivors will no longer see the Killer's name and power upfront. Instead, that information only unlocks once the first chase begins or a Survivor loses a health state.
In practice, this stops Survivors from immediately adjusting their entire strategy around a specific Killer before the match has had a chance to breathe. Whether you think that's fair or a minor inconvenience probably depends on which side of the hook you usually find yourself on, but I think it adds a bit of tension back to the early game.
Full patch notes drop tomorrow alongside the update itself. Everything in the update is listed below.

With tomorrow's release, we're updating Match Details to show more info!
Thanks to your PTB feedback, Survivors will see the Killer name and power only after one of these happens:
- First chase begins
- A Survivor loses a health state
