Arena Season 2 is the headline here. Starting May 29 and running on weekends, Hotfix #116 splits the Arena into two distinct queues: Solo/Duo and Flex (Trio). The Solo/Duo queue still plays out as a 3v3 match, but only solo players and duo parties can enter via random matchmaking. Both queues cap gear at Epic grade and let you keep your items even on a loss, which is a sensible call for a mode that's supposed to test skill rather than punish you for showing up.

On the balance side, the Halberd takes a double hit with an increased Move Speed penalty and reduced combo damage multipliers on its second and third strikes. The Bardiche gets the same combo nerf. The Double Axe goes the other direction, with both late-combo multipliers bumped up. Fighter mains will notice Shield Mastery's duration cut from 1 second to 0.5, and Rogue's Dual Strike now has a slower attack motion. The headshot damage cap dropping from 200% to 180% is the kind of change that affects every class, particularly anyone building around precision hits.

There are also quality-of-life additions worth knowing about, including a toggle option for crouch and the ability to show or hide module names on the in-game map. Everything in the update is listed below.

Full Patch Notes

Hi Adventurers,

This update prepares the start of Arena Season #2, available on weekends starting from May 29. We have now expanded the Arena system and have added a new ‘Solo/Duo’ matchmaking queue with additional rewards. The new ‘Solo/Duo’ Arena queue still means the match is fought as a 3vs3 battle, but only solo and duo parties will be able to join the random matchmaking queue. The original Arena queue and leaderboard will now be renamed as the ‘Flex (Trio)’ Arena and will support all party sizes up to a 3-stack for the matchmaking.

Both Arena queues have an entrance gear limit set at ‘Epic’ grade, and all items are retained even after a loss. The map rotation for this Arena season has also been expanded. The Solo/Duo Arenas are limited to just Solo queue once competitors reach the ‘Vanquisher 3’ rank at 2600+ MMR.

In preparation for the Arena, we’ve also made several changes to class and weapon balance. Finally, this hotfix brings several quality-of-life improvements including the ability to view module names in the in-game map, improved access to accessories in the dungeons, and the ability to toggle the crouch ability. Thank you and see you in the dungeons and Arenas!
