Crimson Desert Notes 1.04.02 (All Platforms Hotfix) (24th April 2026)
Crimson Desert's second hotfix in two days lands on Steam PC, cleaning up UI bugs, horse gear dye, and a nasty difficulty setting glitch.
Two hotfixes in two days. Pearl Abyss is clearly keeping a close eye on Crimson Desert's launch window, and 1.04.02 continues that trend with a focused round of bug fixes across UI, input handling, and a few quality-of-life irritants.
The one that'll matter most to players who've been experimenting with horse builds: horse gear can now actually be dyed. That was broken before this patch, which is a frustrating thing to discover after spending time customising your mount. There's also a fix for a annoying difficulty bug where starting a new game with an existing save file would apply the wrong difficulty setting, not the one you selected. If you started fresh recently and something felt off, that might explain it. On the UI side, the patch clears up an overlap issue where the Content Guide was intercepting clicks meant for the Extra Rewards List, and sorts out HDR settings locking keyboard and mouse inputs entirely.
A few changes flagged here were actually rolled out in 1.04.00 and are just being formally noted now, including the Greymane Contribution Shop at Carl's and the camp furniture preservation fix. Mac players are still waiting; Pearl Abyss notes the Mac patch is in progress. The complete notes are below.
