Crimson Desert Notes 1.04.01 (All Platforms Hotfix) (23rd April 2026)
A same-day hotfix follows 1.04.00, tackling crashes, a stamina recovery exploit, and a frustrating mount summoning bug.
Pearl Abyss didn't wait long. Less than a day after 1.04.00 landed, 1.04.01 is already live on Steam PC, with Mac to follow at a later time.
The two fixes players will feel most immediately are the stamina exploit and the Focused Aerial Roll slowdown. Sheathing and unsheathing certain weapons while sprinting was incorrectly restoring stamina, which in a game built around stamina management is a bigger deal than it sounds. Aerial Roll's flight speed had also dropped below intended values, so anyone who noticed their movement feeling sluggish wasn't imagining it. There's also a crash fix tied specifically to the Umbra boss fight when using a customised character, which is can completely derail a session at a critical moment.
On the quality-of-life side, the pet renaming button has been swapped from R3/RS to L3/LS, and a bug stopping owned mounts from appearing in the Quick Slot has been resolved. PlayStation and Xbox players also get the "Change Preset" display brought in line with the PC version. I'm glad to see Pearl Abyss moving fast on these fixes rather than letting them sit, though the Mac patch being delayed is worth keeping in mind if that's your platform.
Here's the full breakdown.
