Counter-Strike 2 Update Patch Notes (14th May 2026)

Cache is the headline here. Today's Counter-Strike 2 update closes various holes in the map, corrects surface types across several materials, and adds grating to certain windows so they now actually block bullets. That last one is a proper gameplay change: if you've been peeking or holding angles through those windows expecting cover, your opponents just got a new wall to shoot through.

On the grenade side, Valve has fixed a case where players could cancel a throw after it had already started, specifically near the end of the pin pull animation. It's a niche bug, but one that could be exploited in clutch moments, so good to see it closed off.

Music kit owners picking up NIGHTMODE II will find a new roundmvpanthem_02 track added, playing at a 1:5 ratio. Slim update overall, but the Cache fixes alone make it worthwhile for anyone who plays that map regularly. Here's the full breakdown.
