New Updates Coming with Apex Legends: Marked Notes (28th July 2026)

Bloodhound's abilities are completely rebuilt around the tracker-hunter fantasy, World's Edge gains three new points of interest and returning favourites, and a new attachment system adds risk-reward mechanics to loadouts.

Bloodhound's rework represents the most substantial legend overhaul in this update, and it shifts how the character functions in squad play. Rather than a numbers tweak, the tracker-hunter is being rebuilt from the ground up: the Passive now leaves glowing trails on moving enemies, White Ravens gain extended range and can trigger via quick glance instead of requiring a full scan animation, and the Tactical adds "snapshot" scans after the initial pulse. The Ultimate is the headline change. It deploys a device that cloaks all legends inside it for up to 12 seconds after they leave, or until they take damage or fire weapons. This is not invisibility; cloaked players remain visible to opponents but harder to track. For teams running Bloodhound as an initiator, this creates a new entry pattern: cloak in, push while obscured, break cloak on engagement. For defensive squads, it becomes an escape tool. The three new Upgrades for Bloodhound hint at a progression system within the kit itself, though the announcement does not detail what those upgrades do or how they are unlocked.

World's Edge's refresh addresses map fatigue by rotating in three entirely new POIs. Climatizer (Bloodhound's tribe territory with a Longhouse structure), War Camp (replacing Survey Camp with arena-style combat), and Tree Settlement (adding vertical movement gameplay). while restoring Sorting Factory and bringing back Construction stacks in Fragment. Rampart's Big Maude now sits atop Landslide. This is a significant structural change: the map is not just getting cosmetic updates but entire rotation points are being replaced, which will force players to relearn rotations and adjust third-partying patterns. The aurora borealis visual update is flavour, but the "old-god aesthetics" mentioned suggest a thematic overhaul alongside the mechanical one.

Corrupted Attachments introduce a risk-reward system for weapon customisation that the patch notes do not fully explain. The announcement states they "introduce new power with a real tradeoff," implying attachments that boost performance at a cost. Perhaps increased recoil, reduced magazine capacity, or ammo efficiency penalties. Without the full attachment list, players cannot yet assess whether this system creates viable alternative loadouts or becomes a trap for careless looting. The removal of Support and Assault Bins, Explosive Holds, and wildlife loot is a significant loot economy shift that will compress early-game itemisation and force faster weapon decisions. This directly affects mid-tier and lower-ranked play, where loadout perfection often determines survival.

Loba and Rampart receive buffs that position them as supporting pieces in a Bloodhound-led meta. Loba's Black Market cooldown reduction and faster Tactical give her better repositioning tools, while Rampart's faster Sheila movement speed and quicker Amped Wall construction make her a more mobile anchor. These are incremental improvements rather than reworks, and their impact depends on whether teams adopt Bloodhound as a core pick.

The announcement confirms Ranked Updates are coming in Season 31 (the current season), with more substantial changes promised for Season 32 in February 2027. No specifics are provided, leaving competitive players in a holding pattern. The update launches August 3rd, 2026.

NEW UPDATES COMING WITH APEX LEGENDS™: MARKED

Go hunt in Apex Legends: Marked

Be the predator or become prey. Lead the hunt with a more dangerous Bloodhound, and strike from the shadows with a stealthy new Ultimate. Drop into a reworked World's Edge, sharpen your arsenal with Corrupted Attachments, and tap into new power with Loba and Rampart buffs.

    Arise, Apex predator.

THE HUNTER OF LEGENDS - BLOODHOUND’S REWORK

Bloodhound’s kit has been completely overhauled to let you live the true tracker-hunter power fantasy.

In-game screenshot of Bloodhound. Behind them and to the left are Loba and Octane. They're all striking a pose.

Bloodhound’s abilities do the tracking, so you can do the hunting. Their improved Passive causes enemies to leave a glowing trail as they move, while White Ravens have improved range and can now be activated by a quick glance. Bloodhound’s Tactical shows additional “snapshot” scans after the initial scan finishes. Bloodhound’s Ultimate has been completely reworked to deploy a device that cloaks all Legends who enter. While not fully invisible, Legends will remain cloaked for 12 seconds after leaving the Ult’s area, or until taking damage or firing weapons. Boasting all of this and a trio of new Upgrades, Bloodhound equips you to always be the hunter, never the prey.

FRESH HUNTING GROUNDS - WORLD’S EDGE MAP UPDATE

World's Edge has shifted, bringing old-god aesthetics, new and updated POIs, and aurora borealis glowing in the night sky.

In-game screenshot of updated World's Edge. There's an aurora borealis glowing in the night sky, plus 3 new POIs, and old favorites like Sorting Factory and Stacks.

In-game screenshot of the new POI on World's Edge, War Camp. It features several buildings circling around a central structure that is raised above the ground with a landing between the highest and lowest points.

Stalk your prey through 3 new POIs: Bloodhound's tribe lays claim to Climatizer with East Village's unique architecture and massive Longhouse. War Camp takes over Survey Camp with a white-knuckle, arena showdown. Tree Settlement springs to life, bringing new vertical movement gameplay to World's Edge.

Old favorites return! Sorting Factory is back to compete with Fragment for your next drop. Construction stacks re-emerge in Fragment, and Rampart finds new parking for Big Maude on top of Landslide.

    Claim your territory, hunter.

NEW CORRUPTED ATTACHMENTS, ENERGY WEAPON OVERHAUL & STREAMLINED LOOTING

Your loadout is the line between predator and prey. Corrupted Attachments introduce new power with a real tradeoff, energy weapons have been completely reworked, and visible weapon stats show how attachments change the performance of each weapon.

In-game screenshot of a new corrupted sniper stock attachment in Apex Legends. The magazine size has been decreased, but the rate of fire, reload speed, and weapon handling are buffed.

In-game screenshot of Sparrow shooting a Nemesis at a Conduit. It's been overhauled so it now has a percentage instead of ammo.

We’re streamlining looting to make weapon choice more strategic: we’re removing Support and Assault Bins, Explosive Holds, loot bin resets, wildlife loot, and rebalancing all other loot sources. That means less time perfecting your loadout and more time using it.

THE PACK GROWS STRONGER - MARKED’S LEGENDS

Bloodhound isn’t hunting alone. Loba and Rampart join the pack with fresh buffs.

In-game screenshot of Loba and Rampart. Rampart is crouching above the ground, blowing some bubblegum. Loba is standing behind her, with her Black Market beside her.

Loba keeps the squad supplied with an improved Black Market with a reduced cooldown timer. Her Tactical moves faster and covers more ground, giving you a cleaner way out when your prey turns against you.

Rampart can move faster when firing Sheila, supporting the push with more mobile firepower. Her Amped Walls build faster and take more damage.

    THE ROAD AHEAD CHECK-IN

We are adding Ranked Updates to Season 31!

Last season, we were thrilled to showcase the addition of a Major Ranked Update to Season 32, but we didn’t want you thinking you had to wait until February to see movement in our most competitive mode, so we’re adding Ranked Updates to the roadmap in Season 31, as well. While we continue to evaluate, test, and tweak throughout Season 30, we’re excited to deliver impactful changes next season and then double down in the following season. We can’t wait to be able to tell you more about what our team has been working on, so stay tuned for more information coming later this season!
