Season 05 is live, and it's a content-heavy drop. Three new multiplayer maps anchor the update: Jubilee, a festival-turned-battleground in rural Japan designed for tight, aggressive play; Frequency, a fully remastered return to Black Ops 4's mountain listening station; and Dig, the archaeological site from Black Ops 2 rebuilt with Black Ops 7's enhanced movement in mind. Ranked Play gets the attention it needed. Skill Rating inflation plagued Diamond and above last season, so Treyarch's increased base SR losses across Platinum, Diamond, and Crimson tiers, and tightened Opponent Rank Adjustments to only trigger when there's a 3+ tier gap. That's a direct response to feedback, and it should make climbing feel earned rather than inflated. New seasonal rewards sweeten the grind, including an animated Iridescent calling card for those who reach the top.

Zombies adds a new Survival map on Beacon Island within Eidskallen, while Kowakujō gets a Directed Mode for newcomers. Multiplayer modes expand with Overdrive Domination at launch and Gauntlet Rush mid-season. The full breakdown of new weapons, attachments, and every map rotation change is below.
