BeamNG.drive V0.39.3 Release Notes (7th August 2026)
V0.39.3 finalises the camera ring system introduced last patch and squashes dozens of vehicle-specific bugs across the roster, from the Cherrier Ardente to the Gavril D-Series.

V0.39.3 lands as a stabilisation patch that completes work started in version 0.39. Proper support for camera rings, the system that separates vehicle cameras from freeroam cameras and lets you switch between them with Ctrl+C, is now implemented. What the changelog doesn't spell out is that this was half-finished last time: all cameras were crammed onto two rings with no real options. Now free cameras can be sorted and enabled like vehicle cameras, the drone camera supports full vehicle camera controls including tilt and movement, and steadycam gains shake strength, height, and field-of-view settings. For streamers and content creators using the drone or steadycam, this means substantially more control over framing without hunting through console commands.
The vehicle roster gets a thorough going-over. The Cherrier Ardente alone picks up nine fixes: rear fog light breaking, tailgate closure behaviour, missing transfer case and driveshaft meshes, hard-coded license plate text, rear-quarter glass breaking conditions, dual exhaust labelling, hood disintegration when the retractable spoiler fails, and sport exhaust plus upgraded brake pads on top trims. The Gavril D-Series addresses a critical issue where dual-filament headlights had identical brightness on low and high beam, making night driving harder to read. The Diesel Drag config of the T-Series had an engine restart bug that would have been infuriating in long sessions. These are not cosmetic tweaks; they're fixes to core vehicle behaviour that affects how cars drive and respond in edge cases.
Physics and rendering get attention too. All three aerodynamics systems have been improved, though the patch doesn't detail what changed or why. A crash in texture streaming is fixed, and trailing shadows behind distant cars no longer appear. Multi-monitor rendering issues are resolved. There's a note about D3D12 Intel drivers causing excessive VRAM usage and crashes, with a temporary workaround to use Vulkan or D3D11 instead. This matters if you're on Intel integrated graphics or an older discrete Intel GPU, as you'll need to switch APIs until a proper driver-level fix emerges.
UI work is extensive. The Options menu now supports manual apply logic, starting with Display options, meaning you can tweak settings without them taking effect immediately. Gamepad steering no longer breaks when holding both shoulder buttons. The radial menu regains AI actions. Career mode fixes include proper multi-tank refuelling and blocked deletion of your last save profile, preventing accidental wipes. HUD apps no longer steal controller focus, and thumbstick scrolling is added to the parts configurator and paint accordions.
Achievement fixes address seven broken triggers that weren't firing in all cases, including "Performance Review", "Policy Review", and "First Paycheck". A temperature bug in drag timeslips that double-applied Fahrenheit conversion is corrected. What remains unaddressed is any mention of the West Coast, USA level's missing building content. The patch notes cut off mid-sentence there, suggesting either a documentation error or incomplete fixes that didn't make the final build.
