Fantastic Tames Season 1: Burrowbuck is now live!

• Meet the Burrowbuck, a swift and evasive utility creature perfect for mastering map control, misdirection, and brilliant ambushes! Carve out hidden, bunker-like underground dens and open temporary gateway tunnels for rapid long-distance travel, giving prepared Survivors new ways to reposition, retreat, or spring a trap. When danger closes in, the Burrowbuck can kick up disorienting dust clouds and leave behind concealed hazards for enemies reckless enough to follow.

Araneo TLC is now live!

The Araneo TLC is now live in ARK: Survival Ascended, transforming this once-overlooked crawler into a far more capable ambush predator. These overgrown spiders no longer cling to the ground alone, using web-lines to traverse elevated terrain, reposition through the environment, and descend on unsuspecting prey from above with unnerving precision.

Visual & Movement Update

• Fully updated model, animations, and locomotion
• Added full wall & ceiling climbing
• Added strafe movement while grounded
• Can now descend vertically from ceilings using web lines
• Wild Araneo can now spawn attached to walls and ceilings

Stat Changes

• Base Health increased from 150 → 200
• Base Stamina increased from 100 → 150
• Base Weight increased from 100 → 150
• Base Food increased from 900 → 1200
• Increased base Melee Damage by 50%

New Passive - Ambusher

• After attaching to or detaching from a surface, the Araneo’s next ability becomes empowered:
  • +50% damage on next Melee or Web Shot
  • Instantly applies maximum Webbed stacks

New Mechanic - Webbed

• Araneo’s attacks now apply Webbed, a stacking debuff that cripples prey over time.
  • Slows movement
  • Reduces attack speed
  • Increases incoming damage
  • At maximum stacks, targets cannot sprint or jump
  • Targets overwhelmed by Webbed will spread the effect to nearby enemies upon death

Web Shot Rework

• Araneo’s ranged attack has been completely redesigned.
  • Increased range and accuracy
  • Toggles between:
    • Web Shot - Damage-focused
    • Poison Web Shot - Torpor-focused
  • Applies Webbed stacks on hit

New Ability - Web Tether

• Araneo can now deploy versatile web lines for traversal and combat control.

• Web Zip Lines
  • Create traversable web lines between surfaces
  • Function similarly to player ziplines
  • Araneo can naturally traverse web lines
  • Temporary web structures decay over time

• Creature Grappling
  • Grapple creatures and players with web tethers
  • Pull small targets toward the Araneo
  • Pull the Araneo toward larger targets
  • Can tether prey to anchored web points for repositioning
    • Pull strength scales with the Araneo’s Weight stat

New Ability - Web Descent

• While attached to ceilings, Araneo can:
  • Descend on a suspended web line
  • Fire Web Shots while hanging
  • Attack while suspended
  • Instantly detach to drop onto prey below

New Passive - Silk Harvesting

• Araneo now generates Silk from creatures slain while Webbed
  • Higher Webbed stacks increase Silk yield

Additional Changes

• Added Turret Mode support
• Taming reworked to standard knock-out
• Wild AI updated

Bug Fixes

• Fixed Tek Spear teleport inconsistencies that could occur on poor performing servers
• Fixed an issue that caused the Tek Spear's Dash to be inconsistent on poor performing servers
• Fixed a desync issue that could occur when watching another player dash with the Tek Spear
• Fixed missing arms on the Forest Titan taxidermy
• Fixed invisible Ice Titan taxidermy
• Fixed Pheromone dart consuming itself when crafting
• Fixed Fire and Ice Wyverns from being considered in the same group when copying settings
• Fixed Thralls not visually seated correctly when riding creatures
• Fixed Kairuku overspawning on The Center
