The 3rd July update rolls out at 08:00 UTC and brings meaningful relief to Hostile Sector's PvE grind. The developers have listened to feedback about difficulty spikes and are thinning out enemy density across key zones on both the Farm and Northridge maps. Normal AI enemies now have reduced view distance in open areas, weather affects their sightlines more, and they're less likely to incapacitate your limbs. Contraband medical supplies drop more frequently too, giving you genuine breathing room to learn enemy patterns without constant punishment.

Weapon tuning is the other major focus here. The VSS Marksman Rifle gains range and loses horizontal recoil, the Mk14 gets a 50% boost to bullet impact force, and four assault rifles have had their recoil profiles smoothed out. The U191 Marksman Rifle takes the opposite path, with increased firing recoil to tighten its role. There's also a critical fix for the Season 6 item loss bug that wiped some players' gear at the start of the season; compensation is rolling out via in-game mail.

The full breakdown, including Airport map fixes and the Experimental Shock Grenade text correction, is below.

Hostile Sector Mode Adjustments

Since the launch of the Hostile Sector, we have been closely listening to your feedback on the PvE combat experience. To make PvE matches more fun and engaging, we are making the following adjustments to Hostile Sector (Normal) and Hostile Sector: Solo Infiltration modes:

1. Reduced the number of AI enemies in areas such as the N. Wheatfield, the S. Wheatfield, and the north side of S. Loading Area on the Farm map.

2. Reduced the number of AI enemies in areas such as the the Woodland south of the cable car and the Sawmill on the Northridge map.

3. Reduced the view distance of normal AI enemies in the open, and increased the impact of harsh weather on AI enemy vision.

4. Reduced the chance of normal AI enemies causing limb incapacitation on players.

5. Increased the contraband medical supplies drop rate from Hostile Sector AI enemies.

We encourage you to team up and share map rewards with your squad, and recommend exploring Hostile Sector: Solo Infiltration in a group first. With greater room for error, you'll have more opportunities to learn the game's difficulty and enemy behaviors, and develop strategies that work best for you.

Also, don't forget to make good use of the Mastery System to build a setup that suits you.
