Arena Breakout: Infinite Live Update Announcement Notes (3rd July 2026)
The latest patch pulls back on Hostile Sector's punishing AI density and gives PvE players more breathing room to learn the mode. Weapon balance adjustments target marksman rifles and assault rifles.

Pixelmatic has dialled back Hostile Sector's difficulty with the July 3 update, addressing a core complaint about PvE match pacing. The team reduced enemy spawns across key areas on both Farm and Northridge maps, cut normal AI vision range in open terrain, and made weather conditions actually matter for enemy detection. Those changes alone should give solo players and small squads genuine space to experiment without getting overwhelmed in the opening minutes.
The real shift here is the contraband medical supplies drop rate increase. Healing was a friction point in Hostile Sector runs, so more frequent drops from downed enemies means you're less reliant on finding loot in containers. Combined with reduced limb incapacitation chances from normal enemies, the mode feels less punitive overall.
Weapon tuning touches six firearms. The Mk14 Marksman Rifle gets a 50% boost to bullet impact force, while the VSS gains range (26 to 32) and reduced horizontal recoil. Assault rifles see recoil optimisation across the AEK, AR-57, and FAL, though the U191 Marksman Rifle takes the opposite path with increased firing recoil. The update also patches Airport map exploits, fixes container interactions, and addresses the Season 6 item loss issue with pending compensation. Full details on every weapon adjustment and map fix are below.

Hostile Sector Mode Adjustments
Since the launch of the Hostile Sector, we have been closely listening to your feedback on the PvE combat experience. To make PvE matches more fun and engaging, we are making the following adjustments to Hostile Sector (Normal) and Hostile Sector: Solo Infiltration modes:
1. Reduced the number of AI enemies in areas such as the N. Wheatfield, the S. Wheatfield, and the north side of S. Loading Area on the Farm map.
2. Reduced the number of AI enemies in areas such as the the Woodland south of the cable car and the Sawmill on the Northridge map.
3. Reduced the view distance of normal AI enemies in the open, and increased the impact of harsh weather on AI enemy vision.
4. Reduced the chance of normal AI enemies causing limb incapacitation on players.
5. Increased the contraband medical supplies drop rate from Hostile Sector AI enemies.
We encourage you to team up and share map rewards with your squad, and recommend exploring Hostile Sector: Solo Infiltration in a group first. With greater room for error, you'll have more opportunities to learn the game's difficulty and enemy behaviors, and develop strategies that work best for you.
Also, don't forget to make good use of the Mastery System to build a setup that suits you.
