Apex Legends: Latest Update Patch Notes (15th July 2026)
A small but solid update lands for Apex Legends, squashing a persistent Wildcard bug and flagging a known cosmetic issue the team is already chasing.

Respawn's dropped a focused update for Apex Legends that tackles one of those friction points players have been reporting: banners cluttering Wildcard death boxes. It's a clean fix that stops visual noise from piling up during looting, which matters more than it sounds when you're scanning a box under pressure.
On the cosmetics side, the team's flagged a texture glitch affecting the Mythic Alternator skin where "SKIPPY" appears mirrored. Respawn notes they're selective about this level of detail work across weapon variations due to the complexity involved, but the reversed text wasn't intentional. The fix is in progress.
Neither change rewrites how the game plays, but both address real friction points. Check the full patch notes for the complete breakdown of the Wildcard death box fix and the Mythic Alternator status.

✅FIXED:
Banners will no longer appear in Wildcard death boxes.
💡KNOWN ISSUE:
Our team is aware of a bug causing the mirrored presentation of "SKIPPY" on the Mythic Alternator skin. While we are selective about which weapons receive this level of granular detail due to the complexity of texturing and weapon variations, the mirrored text was not intended in this specific case.
The team is actively working on a fix and hopes to have it resolved soon. We'll circle back with an update once the issue has been addressed.
