Apex Legends: Latest Update Patch Notes (17th April 2026)
Respawn rolled back yesterday's bug fix and reissued it, this time, Battlepass progress beyond level 60 and challenge tracking should actually work.
Yesterday's Apex Legends bug fix didn't stick, so Respawn pulled it and pushed a corrected version. Not the smoothest turnaround, but at least they caught it quickly rather than leaving broken Battlepass tracking in place for a week.
The 17th April update addresses three issues. Battlepass progress now correctly extends beyond level 60, daily and weekly challenges once again count toward Battlepass progression, and the Zero Strike skydive emote no longer shows a placeholder texture instead of its actual image. The first two are the ones that actually sting, if you were grinding challenges and watching your XP go nowhere, this is the fix you were waiting on.
Small patch, but broken progression tracking is about as disruptive as it gets for a live-service game. Here's the full breakdown.
Full Patch Notes
Hey all, a quick follow up to the bug updates from yesterday. We had to roll back the initial fix, but believe everything should be in order now!
FIXED:
- Battlepass progress now extends beyond level 60, as intended
- Daily and Weekly Challenges now appropriately contribute to Battlepass progression
- Zero Strike skydive emote image displays placeholder texture
