If you're a fan of the Alien franchise and have been enjoying your time with Aliens: Fireteam Elite, you'll be thrilled to hear about the latest update that Cold Iron Studios has rolled out on Alien Day.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite Update 1.40 Patch Notes:

For those unaware, the original Alien film takes place on moon Acheron or otherwise known as LV-426. This means that 4/26 (April 26) is celebrated as Alien Day by fans.

As for what’s new in this patch, here’s what’s mentioned by Cold Iron:

  • In-game currency cap has been raised from 50,000 credits to 100,000 which means players can safely hoard and collect even more credits than before.
  • The studio states they know how frustrating it is to lose challenge cards when a mission fails or a host drops out. With this update, challenge card packs in SSGT Park’s shop are now free.

While these updates may not be extensive, they certainly enhance the gaming experience and provide more flexibility for players.

It's interesting to note that Cold Iron Studios has shifted their focus to a new unannounced project, indicating that Aliens: Fireteam Elite may not receive additional major updates.
