Recently, EA Sports announced a major overhaul for the UFC 5 game with a plethora of new fighters being added to the roster in the upcoming months. Fans were left disappointed when the game was initially released due to the absence of several notable fighters, but the latest updates seem to be addressing these concerns.
The April UFC 5 roster update, coinciding with the upcoming UFC 300 event, will introduce nine new fighters to the game. This includes:
- Movsar Evloev (#5 FEATHERWEIGHT)
- Brendan Allen (#6 MW)
- Marina Rodriguez (#6 WSW)
- Muhammad Mokaev (#7 FLYWEIGHT)
- Serghei Spivac (#9 HW)
- Geoff Neal (#10 WW)
- Umar Nurmagomedov (#10 BW)
- Tracy Cortez (#11 WFW)
- Diego Lopes
Perhaps the biggest surprise is that all these new additions will be available for free to all players, without any DLC restrictions.
Following the April update, fans can look forward to three more updates which will bring a total of 34 new fighters to UFC 5. This will bring the post-launch roster additions to 44 new fighters within a year of the game's release. The upcoming updates will include:

According to EA Sports, after all the listed updates are live, UFC 5 will be nearly on par with the current UFC Top 10 Athlete Rankings, making it the most comprehensive roster in the history of the series.
