In a significant update for boxing game enthusiasts, Steel City Interactive has announced a strategic shift in the development of their much-anticipated title, Undisputed, now primarily focusing on bringing the game to console platforms. This pivot marks a crucial phase in the game's journey, aiming to deliver a seamless and engaging experience to players on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

During an exclusive interview with Insider Gaming, Ash Habib, CEO and Co-Founder of Steel City Interactive, shed light on the current direction of the game's development. Habib emphasized that the team's efforts are now fully concentrated on console development, navigating through the unique challenges that this transition entails. Unlike the process for Steam or PC platforms, launching a game on consoles requires a different approach, one that the team is currently tackling head-on.

Habib reassured fans that the recent update, which introduced Career Mode and Character Creator, would not be the last they hear from the game in its early access phase on PC. However, he clarified that while some gameplay balances are on the horizon, no more substantial features will be added as the team dedicates its resources to the console version. This decision reflects a strategic trade-off, focusing on enhancing the console gaming experience while still supporting the early access community.

The timeline for the console launch remains flexible, with Habib cautious about setting a specific release date. This approach allows the team to focus on polishing the game, fixing bugs, and balancing gameplay without the pressure of a looming deadline. The ultimate goal is to ensure that when Undisputed makes its debut on consoles, it will offer a refined and enjoyable boxing experience that fans have been eagerly anticipating.

Undisputed is currently available in early access on Steam, and its journey towards a console release is a testament to Steel City Interactive's commitment to delivering quality gaming experiences. As the game prepares to enter the console arena, players on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S can look forward to stepping into the ring with what promises to be one of the most immersive boxing games to date.
