Marvel and Skydance New Media have teamed up to bring us an exciting new game titled Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra. The game is being directed by Amy Hennig, known for her work on the Uncharted 1 – 3 series.

Revealed during an Unreal Engine showcase at GDC, the game features Drew Moerlein as Captain America and Khary Payton as Black Panther. Set to release in 2025, the game promises to deliver an epic gaming experience on unspecified platforms.

"In the chaos of war, worlds collide," reads the game's synopsis. "Skydance New Media and Marvel Games share an original story where an ensemble of four heroes must overcome their differences and form an uneasy alliance to confront their common enemy."

Players can expect a narrative-driven, ensemble adventure where they will control an ensemble of four characters: a young Steve Rogers (Captain America), T'Challa's grandfather Azzuri (the WWII-era Black Panther), U.S. soldier Gabriel Jones (member of the Howling Commandos), and Nanali (leader of the Wakandan Spy Network).

This game marks the debut title for Skydance New Media, a studio established in 2019 by Hollywood production company Skydance. Studio president Amy Hennig expressed her excitement about working with Marvel, stating, "The Marvel Universe epitomizes all the action, mystery and thrills of the pulp adventure genre that I adore and lends itself perfectly to an interactive experience."

Hennig continued, "It's an honor to be able to tell an original story with all the humanity, complexity, and humor that makes Marvel characters so enduring and to enable our players to embody these heroes that they love."
