It has been reported that Tameem Antoniades, co-founder of Ninja Theory, has officially parted ways with the renowned gaming studio based in Cambridge, UK. This news comes as a surprise to many within the gaming community.

Antoniades, who previously held the role of chief creative director at Ninja Theory, played a crucial role in the development of several well-received titles including Heavenly Sword, Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, DmC: Devil May Cry, and the critically acclaimed Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice.

Despite his involvement in the early stages of Hellblade 2, it has been revealed that the upcoming game is now under the leadership of three creative leads: environment art director Dan Attwell, visual effects director Mark Slater-Tunstill, and audio director David Garcia.

Microsoft and Ninja Theory had previously announced Hellblade 2 back in 2019, alongside the reveal of the Xbox Series X console. The highly anticipated sequel is set to release on May 21, 2024, for Xbox Series X/S and PC.

Moreover, it has been confirmed that Hellblade 2 will be a digital-only release priced at $50. The game is expected to offer a similar gameplay experience to its predecessor, which took players approximately eight hours to complete.

This news marks a significant turning point for Ninja Theory and the future of the Hellblade franchise. Fans of the studio can expect an exciting journey ahead with the upcoming release of Hellblade 2.
