In a interview with Play3, the creative minds at Shift Up, the studio behind the eagerly anticipated Stellar Blade, shared new insights into their project. They highlighted how the game is designed to be welcoming for casual gamers through its 'support features' and adaptable difficulty levels.

For those curious about the challenge level of this semi-open-world, post-apocalyptic adventure, it seems Stellar Blade will offer a balanced experience. Drawing comparisons to titles like Bayonetta, Sekiro, and Star Wars Jedi, the game promises to be accessible even to those who might not have extensive experience with action games.

During a detailed discussion with Play3, Hyung-Tae Kim and Dong-Gi Lee from Shift Up elaborated on what players can look forward to when Stellar Blade launches on April 26. The game, they explained, requires a tactical approach and some dedication to master. However, it's equipped with battle support features to assist gamers who love action but might not be as proficient. Players can adjust the game's difficulty at any point, a boon for those who find the challenge of titles like Elden Ring, Dark Souls, or Bloodborne daunting.

Stellar Blade will feature a mix of ranged and melee combat, challenging players to adapt their fighting style to overcome a variety of formidable bosses. The decision to opt for a semi-open world interspersed with linear stages was made to keep the narrative in focus, allowing the story of Eve, the game's protagonist, to unfold naturally as she develops emotions and builds relationships with her allies.

Moreover, the developers have fully leveraged the PlayStation 5's DualSense capabilities to enhance the gaming experience. Players can choose between a 60 FPS Performance Mode and a 4K Resolution Mode, with a Balanced Mode offering a middle ground. And for those moments when you need a break from the action, you can even enjoy a peaceful fishing session.
