If you’ve been following the news around Stellar Blade, you might have noticed the discussions surrounding the character design of Eve, the game's protagonist. Some have pointed out that Eve's appearance seems more suited for a swimsuit photoshoot than battles against enemies.

This observation has caught the attention of both media outlets and gamers across the internet. While some have raised concerns about the perceived sexualization of Eve by developer Shift Up, others have defended the studio's creative choices.

In response to the criticism, Shift Up's CEO Kim Hyeong-tae addressed the issue in a recent interview with Japanese site Ruliweb. When asked about the feedback from Western media, Kim emphasized that 'Stellar Blade' is ultimately a form of entertainment and should be viewed as a cultural product rather than a reflection of real-world norms.

While opinions on character design may vary, it's important to remember that gameplay experience should take precedence over visual aesthetics. At the end of the day, the most crucial aspect of a game is how it plays.

Despite the controversy surrounding Eve's appearance, Shift Up has announced exciting post-release plans for Stellar Blade. Players can look forward to New Game Plus and additional costumes as part of the game's upcoming content updates.

Stellar Blade is set to launch exclusively on the PS5 on April 26, offering players a blend of action-packed gameplay and visually stunning graphics.
