Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection recently made its debut on Steam, but unfortunately, it hasn't been smooth sailing for fans. The release has been marred by bugs, crashes, and severe server issues, leaving players frustrated and disappointed.

Upon its release, the game quickly garnered negative reviews on X, Reddit, and its Steam page. Currently, the Classic Collection holds a mostly negative rating, with only 20% of Steam reviewers giving it a favorable score.

One of the major issues players faced was the limited number of servers available at launch. With some modes having only three PC servers, a mere fraction of the player base could access the game, leading to frustration and disappointment among fans.

Despite efforts to add more servers post-launch, players continue to encounter bugs, stuttering, and even instances where weapons fail to register damage. The gameplay experience has been further hindered by significant lag, making it difficult for players to enjoy the game.

One Reddit user expressed their disappointment, stating, "“I know what it's like to have tons of people expecting a perfect game launch and the stress that can bring, so I am not here to shit talk the devs. I just hope they can work out the kinks, if they can I'm sure this will be a blast” Another user echoed similar sentiments, questioning the development team's ability to release a functional game without major issues.

A scathing Steam review highlighted the poor server infrastructure, stating, “So let me get this straight. You launched this game with only 3 servers on PC knowing full well people only bought it for that sole reason? Peak comedy gold. Easy refund. What a disappointment.” It further warned of potential cheating issues due to the subpar server performance.

Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection boasts all original bonus content from the 2004 and 2005 games, along with support for cross-platform play. Despite the setbacks, the collection offers an opportunity to relive the iconic large-scale combat featured in the original titles.
