Rare has recently launched the closed beta for Sea of Thieves on the PlayStation 5 platform. This thrilling pirate adventure game is set to release later this month and players who have pre-ordered any version of the game can participate in the beta until 9am UTC on April 15.

During the beta, players will have the opportunity to earn Renown, currency, and cosmetic rewards as part of Season 11's seasonal progression track. These rewards can be carried over to the full game, giving players a head start when the game officially launches.

Additionally, participants in the closed beta will receive 10 levels of Renown towards their Season 12 seasonal progression track, allowing them to further enhance their characters and progress in the game.

While players won't be able to access the in-game shop, the Pirate Emporium, during the beta, progress towards Trophies will be tracked and carried over to the retail version of the game upon its launch, as stated in their FAQ.

The closed beta on PS5 is currently experiencing a high volume of new players, which may result in longer waiting times. However, the developers thank players for their patience as they dive into the Sea of Thieves.

Exciting Cross-Play Support

Sea of Thieves, which is famous for its open-world multiplayer gameplay, will be released for PS5 on April 30. The game will feature cross-play support across consoles and PC, allowing players to team up and embark on epic adventures together regardless of their platform.

With the upcoming release of Sea of Thieves on PS5, the world of pirating is about to get even more thrilling and immersive. So grab your crew, set sail, and get ready to plunder the high seas in this unforgettable gaming experience!
