Exploring the vast landscape of Scorched Earth Ascended offers six unique biomes to traverse, including expansive dunes, lush oases, ancient ruins, and mysterious caves. One of the key differences from the base game, The Island, is the scarcity of water, which adds an additional layer of difficulty with new environmental hazards like sandstorms and heat strokes. Players will encounter new creatures waiting to be tamed, such as the Fasolasuchus, along with formidable foes like the Death Worm.
In addition to the new environment and creatures, Scorched Earth Ascended introduces over 50 new craftable items, ranging from heat-resistant gear and structures to weapons like whips, boomerangs, and chainsaws. The expansion also brings new utilities like wind turbines and oil refineries to enhance your base, and a challenging new apex boss, the Manticore, awaits those brave enough to face it. Keep in mind that during the first 60 days of release, only characters can be transferred between servers - no dinosaurs or items. After this initial period, the restrictions are lifted, and the wild desert awaits.
