Rumors are swirling around the gaming community as reputable leaker Dusk Golem recently hinted at some exciting developments for the upcoming Resident Evil 9. According to a new tweet from Dusk Golem, Resident Evil 9 might be taking a bold new direction by potentially incorporating open-world elements into the game.

While details remain scarce, speculations suggest that Resident Evil 9 has been in the works for several years and could see a possible release in 2025. This comes on the heels of the successful launch of Resident Evil Village back in 2021, which garnered critical acclaim from gamers and critics alike.

Dusk Golem, also known as user @AestheticGamer1, hinted that Monster Hunter Wild is also utilizing similar technology, reassuring fans that both Resident Evil 9 and Monster Hunter Wild will still stay true to the DNA of their respective franchises.

Not stopping there, Dusk Golem dropped hints last October about Resident Evil 9 having the largest budget in the series to date. This aligns with the game's prolonged development cycle, especially if the game is indeed venturing into open-world gameplay territory.
