Get ready, Tekken 8 fans! Bandai Namco has just revealed the release date for the highly-anticipated DLC character, Eddy Gordo. If you've been eagerly awaiting the chance to show off your capoeira skills, the wait is almost over!

Eddy Gordo, who was first teased as Tekken 8's premier DLC character back in January, is set to make his grand entrance on April 4th (based on Pacific time). However, if you have the Year 1 Pass, early access to Eddy will be granted on April 1st (again, Pacific time).

The announcement of Eddy's release date came alongside a thrilling gameplay trailer, showcasing his signature fluid and graceful combat style. Fans can expect to see familiar moves and combos, as Eddy goes head-to-head with new character Azucena and veteran fighter Nina Williams.

One highlight of the trailer is Eddy's stunning Rage Art, where he unleashes a whirlwind of devastating blows while traditional Brazilian music sets the tone in the background.

If you're eager to learn more about Eddy's playstyle in Tekken 8, don't miss Bandai Namco's latest Tekken Talk featuring Eddy expert Noriyuki "Hameko" Kaneko diving into the character's mechanics and moves. While it's more of a tutorial than a showcase, it offers valuable insights into how Eddy will operate in-game.

Mark your calendars for April 4th to experience Eddy Gordo in action in Tekken 8. And if you've already picked up the Deluxe or Ultimate Editions of the game or purchased the Year 1 Pass, you can get a sneak peek on April 1st.

For those itching to jump into Tekken 8 right now, the game is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. To learn more about the game, be sure to check out our exclusive interview with director Kohei Ikeda and producer Michael Murray.
