Over the weekend, Ubisoft made some exciting announcements during the BLAST R6 Manchester Major regarding the upcoming Y9S2 – Operation New Blood. One of the key highlights was the introduction of R6 Membership, a premium subscription service that offers exclusive benefits and bonuses to players for a monthly fee.

During the showcase, Ubisoft revealed new Operators, Striker and Sentry, along with various balancing changes, quality-of-life improvements, and the global launch of the peer-to-peer Marketplace in Rainbow Six Siege. They also discussed enhancements to player protection systems and anti-cheat measures, as well as details on Operators receiving adjustments in Operation New Blood.

For $10 a month, players can subscribe to the R6 Membership, granting them access to a premium battle pass, exclusive content drops, and unique cosmetic items like animated skins that are only available to members. Additionally, subscribers will receive a monthly allocation of R6 Credits to use in-game.

While the R6 Membership does not provide a pay-to-win advantage, some fans have expressed discontent over locked content behind a paywall.
