In an official communication from Phoenix Labs, the company stated that these changes are part of an effort to streamline operations and concentrate on their primary projects, specifically Dauntless and Fae Farm. Regrettably, this shift necessitates the discontinuation of all other ongoing endeavors at the studio.
Despite the challenges posed by these measures, Phoenix Labs is dedicated to supporting the affected staff through this transitional period. They have underlined their commitment to offering assistance to their former team members and have called on other game development companies to consider hiring these skilled individuals.
In the gaming industry so far this year, there have been numerous instances of layoffs affecting around the 10,000 professionals across various job roles.
