The game has reportedly been in development since early 2019, just after the success of Monster Hunter: World. According to 'Dusk Golem', Monster Hunter Wilds incorporates many ideas that were initially discarded during the development of World, including the return of the infamous 'big Godzilla monster', possibly referring to Zorah Magdaros from the previous game.
One of the most exciting revelations is that Monster Hunter Wilds will feature a fully open-world environment, a significant departure from its predecessors.
