Warhorse Studios has officially announced the highly anticipated Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, featuring the return of Henry of Skalitz as the protagonist. Building upon the success of the first game, this open-world action RPG promises to be even grander in scale, with spokesperson Tobias Stolz-Zwilling describing it as a "behemoth" that's "twice the size" of its predecessor.

For gamers eagerly awaiting its release, the expanded scope of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 means more of everything you loved about the original. In an interview with IGN, Stolz-Zwilling highlighted the increased map size, a plethora of new quests, and exciting features that will keep players immersed in the medieval world of Bohemia.

Not only does the sequel offer a larger world to explore, but it also introduces new gameplay elements such as crossbows and the ability to engage in blacksmithing activities. The development team at Warhorse Studios has carefully revamped existing features while incorporating fresh mechanics to ensure a deep and engaging experience for players.

Set to launch later this year on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 continues to utilize CryEngine for its development. According to Stolz-Zwilling, the decision to stick with the engine was driven by the team's familiarity with it and the internal pipelines built around it.
