Great news for fans eagerly anticipating the release of Hyper Light Breaker! Developer Heart Machine has provided an update on the launch window for the game.

Despite two delays, the studio revealed to IGN that they are now aiming for a Steam Early Access release in the summer. It's an exciting development for fans who have been eagerly awaiting the game's release.

Heart Machine has also mentioned that they anticipate the game will remain in Early Access for approximately a year. This extended period will allow them to fine-tune the game based on player feedback and ensure a polished final release.

The game was announced in March 2022 as a follow-up to the popular action RPG Hyper Light Drifter. Unlike its predecessor, Hyper Light Breaker will feature a shift from a 2D to a new immersive 3D perspective, promising a fresh and exciting gameplay experience.

Heart Machine shared their reasoning behind opting for an Early Access release on Steam, stating: "Our game is an open world, online, rogue-lite with procedurally generated worlds – it has limitless re-playability with a wild number of combinations. We are essentially inventing and defining this subgenre of 'open world rogue-lite,' and feel strongly that openness and responsiveness to player feedback will be critical to this ambitious process."

The developer emphasized the importance of community involvement in shaping the game's development, highlighting that player feedback will play a crucial role in enhancing the overall experience and creating a more refined and comprehensive game.
