Recently, the PC release of Ghost of Tsushima has taken the gaming world by storm, becoming PlayStation's biggest single-player game launch on Steam. The game reached a peak concurrent player count of 77,154 on Sunday, May 19, surpassing the previous record held by God of War.

While Helldivers 2 remains Sony's biggest game on PC, Ghost of Tsushima's success on the platform is a significant achievement for the company. Originally released on PlayStation 4 in July 2020, the game has now made its mark on the PC gaming community.

Despite the requirement of a PlayStation Network account for online multiplayer and the PlayStation overlay, Ghost of Tsushima's PC release has been well-received. However, the game is not available in countries where PlayStation Network is unavailable.

Sony's executives have emphasized the importance of PC gaming in the growth of the PlayStation business. The acquisition of Nixxes Software in 2021, a specialist in PC ports, has played a crucial role in bringing PlayStation exclusives to the PC platform. Nixxes Software handled the PC port of Ghost of Tsushima, receiving praise from the game's developer, Sucker Punch, for their outstanding work.

Following the success of Ghost of Tsushima and other PlayStation exclusives on PC, gamers are eagerly anticipating the next high-profile title to receive the port treatment. According to recent reports, God of War: Ragnarok is rumored to be the next PlayStation exclusive to launch on PC, sparking excitement among fans. Additionally, fans of Bloodborne are hopeful that the acclaimed game will also make its way to the PC platform in the future.
