During a recent TarkovTV broadcast, Nikita Buyanov from Battlestate Games revealed that the next global wipe event in Escape from Tarkov is scheduled to take place in August 2024. This announcement has stirred up excitement and anticipation within the Tarkov community.
The upcoming wipe event is significant as it marks one of the longest durations between wipes in the game's history, with the last wipe occurring back in December. Players are eagerly awaiting the fresh start and new challenges that come with a global wipe.
Aside from the wipe, Battlestate Games has also teased new updates and features that will accompany the patch in August. Players can look forward to the introduction of bipods, new weapons like the M60, hideout expansions, mannequins for customization, and a range of new apparel options to personalize their characters.
Furthermore, the update will bring about changes such as PMC Karma, a Factory rework, the addition of tripwires and landmines for tactical gameplay, and exciting crossovers between Arena and Escape from Tarkov, offering players unique experiences across different game modes.
