As part of EA Sports FC 24’s Weekend League, players vie for special versions of select players. This time around, the focus is on the Ligue 1 Team of the Season, featuring the coveted Kylian Mbappe, hailed as one of the top players in the game.
Early on Friday, players who participated in the Weekend League noticed that the rewards on offer were superior to what they typically receive. It was quickly observed that top-tier players like Mbappe and Dembele were cropping up more frequently than usual.
This unanticipated turn of events soon caught the attention of streamers, who in turn alerted many players to rush through their remaining matches in pursuit of the upgraded rewards. In response to the escalating situation, the EA Sports FC Direct Communications X account addressed the issue:
We have identified an issue where the Champions Player Pick rewards were providing unintended results. This has been corrected in-game.
