Exciting news for Battlefield 2042 fans as EA has recently announced that Season 7 will be the final season for the game. In a blog post by Battlefield general manager Byron Beede, it was revealed that Season 7, which launched in March, will serve as the last one for the popular title.

According to Beede, while the developers have enjoyed creating additional content for Battlefield 2042, they feel it is time to shift their focus towards the future of the game. This move does not mean the end of support for the game, as EA plans to continue releasing updates, in-game challenges, events, and modes moving forward.

Speaking on the decision, Beede mentioned, "After Season 7 concludes, we will continue to support the game with new in-game challenges, events, modes, and of course, ongoing maintenance, but we are moving away from delivering official seasons."

Furthermore, it was revealed that Motive Studio, the team behind popular titles like the Dead Space remake and Star Wars: Squadrons, will now be focusing on working on Battlefield, signaling exciting developments to come for the franchise.
