Dying Light is currently experiencing a resurgence on Steam thanks to a massive sale that has seen the price drop to single-digit dollars. This open-world zombie game has long been hailed as one of the best post-apocalyptic titles, captivating audiences with its intense parkour mechanics and brutal combat system.

As Techland celebrates Zombie Awareness Month with this significant discount, the player base for Dying Light has skyrocketed, increasing the player count by approximately 330%.

On Steam, where player data is readily available, the peak player count for Dying Light reached an impressive 39,812 in the past twenty-four hours, as shown on SteamCharts. Just last month, this figure was around 9,049. In comparison, the sequel, Dying Light 2: Stay Human, has a twenty-four-hour peak player count of about 7,000.

The all-time high for Dying Light on Steam stands at 45,770, indicating that this recent sale almost broke a new record. It's worth noting that the last time Dying Light saw similar peak numbers on Steam was back in February 2022 when the sequel was launched.

Even after almost a decade since its release, Dying Light remains a must-play title. With an immersive and engaging story that offers around thirty to fifty hours of gameplay, as well as a great multiplayer option to team up with a friend and take on the undead, this game continues to impress. It was truly a standout title of the previous generation and ranks high among the best zombie games ever created.
