The director of Dragon's Dogma 2, Hideaki Itsuno, announced in a recent interview that console versions of the much-anticipated sequel will not feature any graphics modes.

In conversation with Game Informer, Itsuno clarified that the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of the game will not include equivalent options of Performance or Quality modes commonly found in modern games.

Itsuno further detailed the framerate dynamics of Dragon's Dogma 2, revealing that it will support an uncapped framerate across all platforms. "The game has an uncapped framerate. We're aiming to go at around or higher than 30 frames per second. That is for consoles as well," he stated. These promises suggest a remarkable ambition for achieving superior performance and gameplay experience.

While a few configurable functions will be available, Itsuno indicated that multiple settings adjustments at once would not be a feature, presumably referring to visual presets such as performance or quality. "But yeah, the frame rate will come uncapped for all consoles," he reiterated. The absence of these modes is not unusual, as many contemporary console games offer a range of graphics options for gamers to choose from, typically prioritizing either frame rate or graphical quality.
