A recent leak from a reputable source in the gaming industry has sent fans of Spyro the Dragon into a frenzy. According to a reliable Crash Bandicoot and Spyro insider, the unannounced project that Toys for Bob is working on with Microsoft is none other than the highly anticipated fourth installment of the Spyro the Dragon series.

Ever since the success of the Spyro: Reignited Trilogy, fans have been clamoring for a new standalone Spyro game. The purple dragon has made cameo appearances in various titles, but a dedicated sequel has been long overdue. Many believed that Toys for Bob, the developers behind the Reignited Trilogy, were working on a new Spyro game. However, those hopes were shattered when the studio announced its independence.

But, in a surprising turn of events, it was revealed that Xbox and Toys for Bob had struck a deal for their next project to be funded by Microsoft. This exciting news reignited the speculation about Spyro's return, which was further fueled by insider information from Canadian Guy Eh, a trusted source in the Crash and Spyro community.

According to Canadian Guy Eh, multiple sources have confirmed that Toys for Bob is indeed working on a new Spyro title. While details have been kept under wraps, it is believed that Spyro the Dragon 4 is currently in development. The collaboration between Xbox and Toys for Bob has shed light on this long-rumored project.

It is important to note, however, that the development of Spyro 4 is still in its early stages. Canadian Guy Eh mentioned that discussions with sources hinted at the game's production starting as recently as January 2024. This revelation came as a surprise to many, especially considering the initial teasers for Spyro 4 back when Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time was released.

While the news of Spyro's return is undoubtedly exciting, it's essential to treat this information as a rumor until an official announcement is made. For now, fans of the beloved purple dragon can only speculate about what adventures await in Spyro 4.
