The highly anticipated May Developer Update for Dead by Daylight has arrived, bringing a myriad of changes to your favourite killers and perks to shake up the game's meta. Let's delve into the thrilling details of what's to come in this exciting update.

The update will introduce significant changes to popular killers like the Good Guy, the Mastermind, the Cannibal, and more. One of the major highlights is the adjustments to the Good Guy, also known as Chucky. Fans will be pleased to hear that the Good Guy now boasts a decreased Hidey-Ho cooldown and a restriction on the ability to Scamper during Slice & Dice attacks only. This change is set to bring a new dynamic to gameplay and keep survivors on their toes.

But that's not all! The Cannibal is also receiving a major revamp with updates to his chainsaw. Expect an increased duration of his Sweep per token, along with an enhanced movement speed and decreased collision detection size. These changes will undoubtedly give the Cannibal an edge in navigating tight spaces and hunting down survivors.

These killer updates are accompanied by changes to various killer and survivor perks such as Deadlock, Decisive Strike, Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance, and Pop Goes the Weasel. The goal of these adjustments is to rebalance the game by toning down overused perks and overpowered killers while boosting the viability of lesser-used options.

The May Developer Update is currently available for testing in the 8.0.0 PTB, so be sure to jump in and experience the changes firsthand. Keep an eye on the game's official channels for more information and updates on when these changes will be rolled out to the full game.
